HERMAextracoat is suitable for high-quality labels with multi-colour imprint. The semi-gloss coated surface of HERMAextracoat offers an excellent quality of the imprint with all conventional printing methods as well as with thermal transfer and laser printing.
Furthermore HERMAextracoat (242) can be printed with digital printing methods such as Xeikon and UV-Inkjet. Pre-testing is recommended.
The pulp for this paper comes from FSC certified forest management and other controlled sources.
The pressure-sensitive adhesive 62N has been specially developed for use on compostable packaging films. Adhesion to these smooth, rather polar surfaces is guaranteed right into the cooling area. A slight condensation on the packaging film is usually not a problem. The use on plastic surfaces (polyolefinic), rough or curved surfaces is not recommended.
The supercalendered glassine is perfectly suited for assignment in labelling machines equipped with optical or mechanical scanners.
The self-adhesive material has been tested for compostability under industrial conditions (EN 13432) and was awarded the "Seedling" logo. Certificate listed under register no. 7H0114 of DIN CERTCO GmbH (valid until September 30th 2025).
Storing at a temperature of 20 ± 5 °C, a relative humidity of 45 ± 5 % and a dark storage is recommended. Moisture, heat and direct sunlight have to be avoided.
The shelf life is one year from date of production.
The pressure-sensitive adhesive 62N can be safely used for the back coating of labels for labelling of foodstuffs for storage at room temperature and below. It may be used in direct contact with dry and non-fatty foodstuffs (Declaration of no objection valid until 05.04.2024).
The paper liner complies with recommendation BfR XXXVI.
