Thanks to its special surface treatment the glossy surface of HERMA PP 50 transparent tc offers an excellent printing quality in all conventional printing methods like e.g. UV flexographic printing. The primer on the back ensures perfect anchorage of the adhesive. In combination with the appropriate adhesive, this product is perfect for applications where the removability of the label is required. This film is not intended for use in unprinted zigzag applications, in which the coated print surface is in contact with itself.
HERMA PP 50 transparent tc is perfect for the production of optically demanding, glossy transparent labels. It is particularly suitable for labelling cosmetic products, cleaning agents etc., as well as for applications demanding resistance to chemicals or weather.
The adhesive 62C was specially developed for the use of clear-on-clear applications. Special emphasis should be the extremely good resistance against whitening combined with a high level of transparency. In combination with a filmic face material the products container achieve a high-quality impression and is transparent to see the contents. Once applied the adhesive is insensitive against humidity, soaps and oil and therefore suits especially well for product labelling in food, beverage, hygiene and cosmetic industry. 62C features good resistance to light, heat and aging.
The 62C has a good wettability combined with good adhesion properties. In addition the 62C shows high cohesion together with low tendency to creep, which reduces the adhesive bleed and good final adhesion characteristics occur.
HERMA PET has excellent properties in demanding applications. The high strength characteristics eliminate web breaks in high speed applications with narrow webs allowing high dispensing speeds. Compared to paper liners HERMA PET is not sensitive to moisture resulting less curl and excellent dispensing properties.Storing at a temperature of 20 ± 5 °C, a relative humidity of 45 ± 5 % and a dark storage is recommended. Moisture, heat and direct sunlight have to be avoided.
The shelf life is one year from date of production.
The label film HERMA PP 50 transparent tc complies with the legal requirements or recommendations of Regulation (EC) no. 1935/2004 and (EU) no. 10/2011 and subsequent amendments up to Regulation (EC) no. 2020/1245 on plastics and articles intended to come into contact with food as well as of Regulation (EC) no. 2023/2006 on good manufacturing practice for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
The pressure-sensitive adhesive 62C can be safely used for the back coating of labels for the labelling of foodstuffs for storage at room temperature and below. It may be used in direct contact with dry and fatty foodstuffs that can be assigned a correction factor of at least 3 in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011. Moreover, the contact with dry, non-fatty foodstuffs is permitted, provided that the ratio of the contact surface of the label related to the toal weight of the food does not exceed 1 dm²//kg (Declaration of no objection valid until 19.02.2027).
