Application and use

HERMAwhite super is perfect for high-quality labels with multi-colour imprint. The semigloss coated surface offers an excellent quality of the imprint with all conventional printing methods as well as with thermal transfer and laser printing.

Furthermore is HERMAextracoat (240) printable digital printing methods. Pretesting is recommended.

The pulp for this paper is from FSC® certified forests and other controlled sources. 

The adhesive 65Tpc specially is developed for applications where very high Tack even under critical conditions is necessary.Thanks to its extremely high tack adhesive 65Tpc is particularly suitable for labelling rubber products, rough PE-containers, wood-based materials and very rough cardboard.In spite of its high coat weight this newly designed adhesive offers excellent die-cutting characteristics. Adhesive 65Tpc is particularly resistant to light, heat and ageing.

The supercalendered glassine is perfectly suited for assignment in labelling machines equipped with optical or mechanical scanners.

Processing

Very good die-cutting characteristics on all usual machines. As part of a self-adhesive compound HERMA PW (525) offers excellent die-cutting characteristics with all customary flatbed and rotary die-cutting tools.

Storage conditions

Storing at a temperature of 20 ± 5 °C, a relative humidity of 45 ± 5 % and a dark storage is recommended. Moisture, heat and direct sunlight have to be avoided.

The shelf life is one year from date of production.

Regulations concerning contact with food

The paper complies with BfR XXXVI recommendations for direct contact with dry and fatty food.

All ingredients of adhesive 65Tpc comply with recommendation FDA 21 CFR 175.105 (Adhesives).

The pressure-sensitive adhesive 65Tpc can be safely used for the back coating of labels for the labelling of foodstuffs for storage at room temperature and below. It may be used in direct contact with dry and moist non-fatty foodstuffs, as far as the ratio of the contact area of the label related to the total weight of the foodstuffs does not exceed 1 d²/kg. Furthermore, the adhesive may be used for laminating plastic films. In this case, cut edge contact with food is harmless as far as the above mentioned adhesive is concerned. It must be ensured that the relevant migration limits are complied with by the laminated packaging (Declaration of no objection valid until 06.05.2026).
