Thanks to its nacreous, glossy, corona pretreated surface HERMA PP white 40 offers an excellent print quality with all conventional printing methods. Before printing a corona pretreatment is recommended.
HERMA PP white 40 is perfect for the production of optically pretentious, glossy, non-transparent labels. For recycling reasons these labels are preferably used on PP surfaces. The nacreous look of the film adds an exquisite touch to the labels.
HERMA PP white 40 is particularly suitable for labelling cosmetic products, cleaning agents etc. as well as for applications demanding resistance to chemicals or weather.
Thanks to the high flexibility of this film labelling of curved surfaces is possible. An over lamination for safe dispensing is recommended.
The adhesive 62Gpt shows a very high tack even on cold surfaces down to -10 °C. Due to the high initial tack even on moist surfaces 62Gpt is particularly suited for labelling polar and nonpolar surfaces such as plastic containers, film wrappings and other packaging materials. The 62Gpt suits especially well for fast running dispensers, in which the initial tack has to be built up extremely quickly as f.ex. when the labels are blown on the substrate.Once labelled the adhesive is highly waterproof.
The supercalendered glassine is perfectly suited for assignment in labelling machines equipped with optical or mechanical scanners. As part of a self-adhesive compound HERMA PW (517) offers excellent die-cutting characteristics with all customary flatbed and rotary die-cutting tools.
Storing at a temperature of 20 ± 5 °C, a relative humidity of 45 ± 5 % and a dark storage is recommended. Moisture, heat and direct sunlight have to be avoided.
The shelf life is two years from date of production.
All ingredients of adhesive 62Gpt comply with recommendation BfR XIV or FDA 21 CFR 175.105 (Adhesives).
The pressure-sensitive adhesive 62Gpt can be safely used for the back coating of labels for the labelling of foodstuffs for storage at room temperature and below. It may be used in direct contact with dry, moist and fatty foodstuffs that can be assigned a correction factor of at least 3 in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011. Furthermore, the adhesive may be used for laminating various materials. In this case, cut edge contact with food is harmless as far as the above mentioned adhesive is concerned. It must be ensured that the relevant migration limits are complied with by the laminated packaging (Declaration of no objection valid until 25.09.2027).
The paper liner complies with recommendation BfR XXXVI.
