The glossy surface of HERMA PE white with its corona pretreatment offers an excellent print quality in conventional printing techniques. Before printing we recommend to freshen up the corona pretreatment.
HERMA PE white is perfect for the production of optically pretentious, glossy and opaque labels. For recycling reasons these labels are preferably used on PE surfaces.
Thanks to the high flexibility of this PE film even curved surfaces may be labelled without any problems as well as squeezable packaging.
Adhesive 42N is suitable for applications requiring medium tack combined with good removability. It is particularly suited for labelling surfaces like cardboard, PE-Films and steel. Removability may be impaired if applied on certain surface coated materials.Adhesive 42N features excellent resistance to light, heat and ageing.
The supercalendered glassine is perfectly suited for assignment in labelling machines equipped with optical or mechanical scanners.Storing at a temperature of 20 ± 5 °C, a relative humidity of 45 ± 5 % and a dark storage is recommended. Moisture, heat and direct sunlight have to be avoided.
The shelf life is one year from date of production.
HERMA PE white is in compliance with Commission Regulations (EC) no. 1935/2004 and (EU) no. 10/2011 and subsequent amendment 1245/2020/EU on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food and furthermore with the Commission Regulation (EC) no. 2023/ 2006 on good manufacturing practice for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food. The film may come into contact with dry, aqueous, acidic, alcoholic and fatty foodstuffs.
The pressure-sensitive adhesive 42N can be safely used for the back coating of labels for the labelling of foodstuffs for storage at room temperature and below. It may be used in direct contact with dry, moist and fatty foodstuffs in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011. (Declaration of no objection valid until 11.09.2026)
The paper liner complies with recommendation BfR XXXVI.
